Limited Edition Bead Kits

Sera Design necklaces combine fine design and exquisite color palettes with unique components and original beading techniques. These kits introduce a new line of limited edition bead kits designed by the noted bead masters Roberta Altshuler and Sheila Sabatino. All kits are limited editions. No more than 99 kits of any given design and color combination will ever be produced. Reservations for future kits will be accepted.

Sheila has been the owner/director of numerous galleries and bead shops. She is an experienced beader and has been designing for over 15 years. Roberta is a noted artist, calligrapher and graphic designer.

Each kit will contain vintage beads and/or unique components.Each necklace will feature an exquisite focal bead and the number of kits produced and available will be limited to the number of these focal beads available. Each kit is packaged in a beautiful wooden box with a clear Lucite cover, so that the finished piece may be displayed when the necklace is not being worn.

Available Kits

The first kit, Dynasty I, is Chinese in flavor, featuring an exquisitely carved jade focal piece. The coloration of the accompanying beads are soft greens. The necklace features several basket stitches and barrel connection pieces. The beading surround on the focal bead involves a technique developed by Sheila Sabatino. The Oceana features a Mabe pearl focal piece in a peyote bezel with soft greens and blues reminiscent of the sea. The necklace includes several unusual beading stiches developed by Roberta and Sheila. Click here to see close up photographs of a completed Oceana necklace.
